Never a child
I grew up too soon
Hunger
But no food

Next came you
little
and loved
held my heart
in such
tiny
fragile
hands
iii.
What would I do
anything
for your safety
food
but no hunger
but open legs

Never a child
I grew up too soon
but you
you grow slow
I paid
for your childhood
my price
your love
At the dawn of all
There was only her
The darkness
Our goddess
Alone in the void
In her womb grew the world
Parasitic and killing her
Her, lonely
Unable to quench the only other life
She let it happen
She could not birth
Her child started to die
No room to grow
No room to breathe
She hurt and hurt
With soft fingers
And dull nails
She clawed at her stomach
Tearing at her flesh
Until the world was freed
The void was cold and harsh
To the world, newborn
She clutched her child close
Wrapped her wings around
Leather as protective barrier
Her blood covered the newborn
Forming rivers and seas
See the pinpricks of light
Void through the holes
In
The blood of the covenant
Is thicker than the water of the womb
Blood is thicker than water
The woman screams at her daughter
Who is trying to leave
Again
The empty bottles cover the floor
The woman's breath stinks
She has no job
Couldn't keep one
Never leaves the house
She wouldn't have
If not for the daughter
She shrieks about dept
and responsibility
and hardship
The daughter works 3 jobs
She didn't go to school
She couldn't leave the woman alone
She's running ragged
Giving more than she can
Wisps of hair free from their bun
Dark circles under her eyes
She holds no love for the woman
Not anymore
Only resent for her impromptu jailer

Quite frankly, I had found the whole situation fairly amusing. If you had told me scarce hours before that later that day I would be privileged to see Sherlock Holmes, dressed in a brightly colored, vertically-striped get-up, attempt to win a round of a game we barely knew the name of in order to gain a hint as to the location of a piece of a legendary, magic item, which supposedly grants wishes, so as to attempt to prevent an evil king from attaining it, well, I would have wondered if you were right in the head. And yet, there we were, on the green in front of Hyrule Castle, playing baseball with a mixture of Deku scrubs, Gorons, and Zor
Today I watched Mother weave
The light that filtered through the branches
Of the tree we sat under
Into sweet ribbons
Like a little girl would wear
She looked serene
As her hands nimbly threaded
Softly dappled light
Into tinted green cloth
She gently brought it to her lips
Pressed a kiss into the new fabric
Then Mother bid me over
She wanted to redo my braid
I quickly sat in front of her
She affectionately carded her hands
Through my hair
And untied the ribbon holding my braid together
Suddenly I was struck by the knowledge
Mother didn't love me
She tolerated me at best
Hated, at worst
I almost wanted to leap away from her
But I was so de
Two roads diverged in the woods
Oh wait, no
You tell me there's only one
You're dragging me down it
I guess I was mistaken
Oh hey! Look at that!
Look at what?, I say
Sneaking behind me
You cover my eyes
Look isn't it pretty!, you cry
I can't see it
Something is blocking me
Oh trust me, it's amazing
Of course, I trust you
I look down the alleyway
Isn't that a [REDACTED]
You grab my chin
Turn my head away
Come on, there's nothing interesting there
No... I suppose not
I walk down the street
With your blindfold on
You don't realize the crack underneath
That lets me see the demon
You told me to kiss
I hesitate
What's wrong, you say
Oh here, let
I think your lips on mine had been the most surprising thing about it. I hated you and my knife was between your ribs, but you used your last moments to slowly caress my face and kiss me deeply. You had tasted of blood, but also of oranges and whiskey. I wish I could say you had tasted horrible, but even the metallic overtones had been tantalizing. Your lips had been soft and I felt that hand reaching up, into my hairline. I had bit your tongue even as I leaned in for more and you had laughed breathlessly. That was your last laugh as it turned out, as you soon breathed your last breath between my lips and into my lungs. Then, you slumped agai
I bled out
Lying on the ground
As you shook me
And screamed
But I couldn't hear it
As the numb spread through me
I closed my eyes
I was sorry
For leaving you alone
As I died
the end.
I was in chains
I spat in your face
You hadn't reacted
Except to step back
And wipe your cheek clean
You had asked if I was sorry
I guess you had your answer
So you turned to leave
Yet you had paused at the door
Snuck one last look at me
The traitor you had called freind
Before you left me
The next day
I hung in town square
the end.
One of your hands
Had caressed my sneering face
As the other held my knife
Where it was buried in your chest
You were smiling stil

A wall in front of us
A look exchanged
Challenging smirk
I run forward
Turn around
Crouch
Lace my fingers together
You step back
Pause
Run towards me
Plant your foot
I lift up
You jump high
Grab
Climb up
You look down
Reach your hands down
I back up
Running start
Jump
Grab
Scramble for purchase
You pull me up
We collapse
Lie flat
Breathe hard
A look exchanged
Giggle
Helpless laughter
Smile wide
Stand up

The State of Love Today
I want to tell you
I love you
But those words are tantamount to admitting
Romantic affections
Which I simply do not have
I wish to kiss your forehead
Your nose
To make you laugh
But you might reach for my lips
And I do not feel that way
I want to hold your hand
As I drag you behind me
To see the wonders
To hang stars in your eyes
Without it being a date
I wish to hear you say
"I love you"
Without dread
Shooting down my spine
As I am forced to reject you
I want cuddles
And dreams
To be close to you
Without someone asking
"Are you together?"
When did simple affection
Platonic as can be
Become seen as only romantic
And otherwise
As taboo
I

I remember when we got our bulldog, vaguely, but I remember how we named her much better. We were sitting in the living room, again before we moved, I was little and she was just a pup. I was sitting on the floor with her while my dad and big sis sat on the couches. They were arguing over what to name her. My dad wanted to name her Smedley, which was the name of the bulldog we were replacing, who I can't remember. My sister wouldn't allow him to because they already used that name and she didn't like it. I'm basically ignoring them, I was much more interested in the as-of-yet-unnamed pup. I sat on the ground, and I guess she thought we were w
